SUSE has announced the availability of SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 Service Pack 3 (SLES11 SP3) Operating System recently

SUSE Enterprise Linux 11 Service Pack3 has been extensively validated on supported Dell PowerEdge Servers

Some of the new enablement/enhancement in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 3 (SP3) include
- Native driver support for PCI-e SSD (solid state drive) devices
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 3 includes the mtip32xx driver (version: 1.2.6os3) which adds support for Micron RealSSD P320h PCIe SSD drives.
- Dell PowerEdge 12th Generation server ships with PCI-e SSD device
- Support for the following Network Interface Cards(NICs)
- Broadcom 57840S Quad Port 10G SFP+ Rack NDC (Supported on Dell PowerEdge R620, R720, and 820 Servers)
- Broadcom 57840S-k Quad Port 10GbE Blade KR NDC (Supported on Dell PowerEdge M820 and M620 Servers)
- Support for latest AMD 6300 and 4300 series processors
- AMD Opteron 6300 series server processors are supported on Dell PowerEdge R815, R715 and M915 Servers
- AMD Opteron 4300 series server processors are supported on Dell PowerEdge R415 and R515 Servers
- Consistent Naming of Network Devices
- SLES11 SP3 supports consistent naming of network devices (BIOSdevname). BIOSdevname was introduced in SLES since SLES11 SP2
